• Inspect the freezer door seal for cracks, tears, or debris preventing a tight closure and allow warm air leakage
• Check that all interior air vents are clear of frost, ice, or stored items blocking cold air circulation
• Verify the freezer temperature setting is not accidentally set to the warmest setting
• Ensure at least 2-3 inches of clearance on all sides of the freezer exterior for proper ventilation
• Confirm the freezer is not placed directly against a wall or in an enclosed space restricting airflow
• Unplug the freezer from the electrical outlet for 60 seconds to reset the control board, then plug back in and observe if error clears
• Check the defrost drain opening (usually at the bottom rear) is not visibly clogged with ice or debris
• Listen for normal compressor operation and defrost cycle sounds to confirm basic system function
• Allow 24 hours of normal operation after troubleshooting before determining if error persists
