• Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to reset the control board
• Verify the refrigerator is plugged into a grounded 120V outlet and that the home circuit breaker has not tripped
• Check that both the refrigerator and freezer doors close completely and the door seals are clean and intact
• Confirm the temperature settings are correct (typically 37–40°F for refrigerator section and 0°F for freezer)
• Inspect the defrost drain hole at the back or bottom of the refrigerator for blockages and gently flush with warm water if needed
• Check behind the refrigerator to ensure air vents are not blocked and the unit has at least 2 inches of clearance on all sides
• If the model includes an air filter or water filter, replace or reset according to the user manual instructions
• Monitor the refrigerator for 24 hours after the reset to see if the error code reappears or if cooling performance improves
