• Unplug the trash compactor from the electrical outlet and wait 60 seconds, then plug back in to reset the control board
• Ensure the drawer is completely closed with an audible click before attempting to start a cycle
• Remove the drawer and check for any visible obstructions, foreign objects, or debris blocking the compaction chamber
• Empty the drawer completely and inspect the trash level—never fill beyond the maximum fill line indicated inside the bin
• Verify the trash compactor is plugged into a functioning outlet by testing with another appliance
• Check that the door switch makes solid contact when the drawer is closed and moves freely without obstruction
• Press the start button and listen for motor engagement; if no sound occurs after reset, discontinue use
• Allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes if it was recently used before attempting another reset cycle
